Suhirdjan was a Javanese musician and instrument builder who lived in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. For many years, he made and exported gamelan instruments to groups and musicians around the world, including England, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Israel, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S.
